What’s Inside the HD5™

Each HD5™ enclosure is a fully integrated, factory-assembled energy storage system built for safety, performance, and long-term reliability. Within a 20-foot ISO format, HD5™ integrates liquid-cooled LFP battery modules, an advanced battery management system (BMS), thermal management, fire detection and suppression, and enclosure-level monitoring and controls into a single, cohesive platform. The system architecture spans from cell to module to rack, with coordinated control through BCMUs and a centralized BAMU to ensure balanced performance, real-time diagnostics, and safe operation. Purpose-built compartments house the battery system, chiller, and electrical equipment—each engineered for protection, accessibility, and operational efficiency. Integrated safety systems include multi-layer fire protection, explosion prevention through ventilation and detection, and compliance with UL and NFPA standards, while seamless integration with Prevalon’s insightOS™ EMS enables full system visibility and control. The result is a high-density, modular building block that simplifies installation, reduces integration risk, and delivers consistent performance across the full asset lifecycle.
